Grandma saw photos of the butterfly pieces I’ve done, and asked whether I could do brooches and things like that. I was doubtful because the art pieces are really fragile, but I liked the idea. So I tried it.

I quite like the brooch (for this is indeed a brooch – hair slides in future?) but it has an unnerving effect of looking like a real tortoiseshell out of the corner of your eye. Gold antennae are a bit of a giveaway though.

This one’s going in the post to grandma tomorrow.
